Speed Dating With Books

Having a fun day in the library as students speed date with a book!  The students have 4 minutes at each table to get to know a book.  They check out their appearance to  see if they have anything in common.  They read the inside cover to try to get to know them a bit. .Do they want to "check this book out?"  If so, they fill out a worksheet and move to the next table.  At the next table, they might find they want to break up with the first book and get a new date.  Dating more than one book at a time is usually not a good idea.  If they still haven't found a date by table 4, I'll help them find a match or they can get a blind date from the "Blind Date" table of books laying upside down.  When they finish, they should have found their perfect match and can check it out.  Every good date may end with a kiss (Hershey's).  Happy Valentine's Day and happy reading!
